What a busy morning we had creating our wet weather gear.

Spellathon

Today I was so impressed with how well everyone had learnt their spelling words for the Spellathon!!!!

While we were testing look at all the fantastic learning that was taking place.

Testing Materials for raincoats

Technological Products:

Today we tested 6 different materials to see which ones would be the best for making raincoats. We knew that the materials had to be able to keep us dry in the rain.

We took all the samples outside and used a small watering can to create rain.

The three materials that didn't kept the rain out were:

• tissues
• paper towels
• cloth material

The three materials that kept the rain out were:

• plastic bags
• plastic sheeting
• waterproof nylon

We had lots of visitors join us for Discovery this morning, we had heaps of fun and wrote great stories about our favourite cats.
