Containers for the Three Bears

Today for maths we had to create cones that the Three Bears could use to eat popcorn. A huge one for Father Bear, a medium size one for Mother Bear and a tiny one for Baby Bear.

Then we got to eat the popcorn.

We love Jump Jam. We get to do it as part of Discovery every Monday and Wednesday at 10.00am.

Inquiry Action

As part of Inquiry this term we have investigated adverts and used this information to create our own adverts for the club we attended this term. We created our adverts in Pic Collage on the IPAD's.

Exploding bags

What an exciting experiment we did at science club today.
We worked in small groups and put water, vinegar and baking soda wrapped in tissue into a plastic bag.

We carefully carried them outside, dropped them and waited them to EXPLODE!!!!

We had made carbon dioxide.

Capital E National Arts Festival

Today we saw three shows as par of the Capital E National Arts Festival. Carnival of Animals, Squaring the Wheel and Orchestra of Spheres.

I was so proud of Room 20, they enjoyed all the shows, walked quickly and listened to all instructions!!!! You were superstars:-)

I could see the tail wagging close to me.

Terrific Tuesday

What a terrific day we had today. We had Cottle Kindergarten come for a visit. It was great to see lots of old friends. Then we had Tennis. It was our first session of four with Tom the tennis coach. Then lots of learning in Reading and Maths before lunch. This afternoon we had Kapa Haka and clubs.

The science club learnt about the PH scale and did an experiment with universal indicator.
