Michelangelo Painting

Today we learnt about Michelangelo a very famous artist who spent four years painting the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. We found out how difficult is was to paint above our heads.

Music

This afternoon the Years 3, 4,5 and 6 students put on a fantastic musical performance for us, we all thought it was amazing. They only had three lessons and then they put on the show.

Jackson Pollock Paintings

This term we are looking at different styles of paintings. Today we have created our own Jackson Pollock style paintings but throwing the paint onto the paper.

It was great fun!!!!!

Week 8

Presenting

As part of our Discovery sharing circle this week and next all the students have to present us with a joke, song, poem or something they have made. Today Waka very carefully explained to us how he created this Steam Train.

Art Swap Fun Day

Today the whole school enjoyed a Buddy Class Art Day with the theme of Bugs.

Rooms 1, 20 and 21 made Bees, Butterflies and Ladybugs to be displayed in the hall. All the students got to visit all three rooms and create three pieces of art.

Visit from Elizabeth Ave Childcare

Sebastian had some special friends join him on his visit today.

Trentham Kindergarten visit

We had a great visit today from all the wonderful children at Trentham Kindergarten. They got to join us for Discovery, morning tea and some shared reading.
