Science Kit- Balancing shapes

This was a tricky activity. We had some different shapes and we had to explore how we could get them to balance on our finger, pegs or ice block sticks. It was fun to find a stable position.

Town building

Look at this amazing town Room 9 has created with the large wooden blocks.

It was great to see so many students negotiating and cooperating to create this together. It is strengthening there key competencies as the learn to work together.

Science Kit: Who Dunnit?

Science Kit: Who Dunnit?

Today we explored our fingerprints and found out that each one is unique. The police can use fingerprints to identify criminals. It was great fun making prints and then studying them with the magnifying glass. It was a bit messy tho and we ended up with inky fingers.
